Julie has over 20 years of clinical experience in orthopaedic physical therapy, with a Bachelors degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Kentucky and a Masters degree in Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine from the University of Indianapolis, Krannert Graduate School. Julie is a board certified specialist in orthopaedic physical therapy with the American Physical Therapy Association.
Julie's love of healthy body movements comes from being a professional dancer for 18 years, with 4 years at the Louisville Ballet Company. She often speaks nationally and locally about foot and ankle injuries, sports medicine, and spine rehabilitation. She has continued her education with various osteopathic manual therapy courses and several functional integration exercise courses.
Therese Graves

Therese has a Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences in Physical Therapy from the University of Louisville. Therese has worked for over 25 years as a physical therapist with emphasis in orthopedic, sports medicine, geriatric and neurological patients. Therese is a board-certified specialist in orthopedic physical therapy(OCS) with the American Physical Therapy Association. Therese enjoys doing volunteer work with two cross country and track teams in the Louisville area and works in injury prevention/community education through public speaking
Therese is active at her church leading liturgical dance as a choreographer and dancer. She is kept busy with her husband and three daughters hiking, biking and exploring. She prefers to lead by example exercising using P90 and cooking a whole food, plant-based diet.
Hannah Clifford
DPT (Licensed Physical Therapist, Doctorate in Physical Therapy)
Hannah graduated from Bellarmine University in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science in Health Science and a minor in Theatre. While pursuing her undergraduate degree, she founded the Bellarmine University Dance Company, choreographed for numerous Bellarmine University Theatre productions, and served on the board for Bellarmine University Dance Marathon. She then went on to earn her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Bellarmine in 2022, serving on the class council throughout her time in the program. Hannah’s clinical interests include orthopedics, pediatrics, geriatrics, and working with those involved in the creative or performing arts. In her free time, Hannah enjoys teaching dance to all ages, attending live concerts and performances, as well as spoiling her two dogs, Koda and Max.
Elyssa Cottongim
DPT (Licensed Physical Therapist, Doctorate in Physical Therapy)
Elyssa received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Bellarmine University in 2024. Driven by her passion for sports and fitness, she also obtained an undergraduate degree in Exercise Science Sports Performance and a minor in Nutrition. Elyssa’s clinical interests are in sports rehabilitation, geriatrics, and neurological conditions. Her approach to therapy combines manual techniques and individualized exercise programs, catering specifically to each patient’s needs. Whether she’s working with fellow athletes or individuals recovering from injury, she is dedicated to promoting functional movement, pain relief, and long-term wellness. Elyssa’s commitment to empowering patients ensures they take charge of their recovery to achieve their health goals.
After playing six years of collegiate soccer, where she honed her skills and deepened her understanding of athletic performance, Elyssa now competes at both the semi-professional and professional levels. She recently won the 2024 Minifootball World Cup in Croatia. When not on the field, Elyssa enjoys spending time with her husband, walking her two dogs (Brody & Drake), lifting weights, and playing golf.
Rachel Huber

Rachel Huber received her undergraduate degree in Exercise Science from Bellarmine University in 2018, followed by her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Bellarmine University in 2023. With a diverse clinical background and a strong foundation in evidence-based care, Rachel’s clinical interest includes orthopedics, sports rehabilitation, amputee care, neurological conditions, and geriatrics. Rachel is passionate about empowering patients through personalized, movement-focused care. She values connection and collaboration in the rehab process, ensuring each person feels supported every step of the way. Outside the clinic, Rachel enjoys traveling, running, and exploring new restaurants around Louisville.
Lauren Brooks

Lauren received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Bellarmine University in 2013 with a minor in Biology and Healthcare. Lauren has always had a passion for sports and the athletic community, playing collegiate basketball throughout her time at Bellarmine. Due to several basketball related injuries, Lauren discovered her love for the human body and the physical therapy career field. After her undergraduate career ended, she pursued her Doctorate in Physical Therapy, graduating in May 2016. Lauren loves using her knowledge to help patients of all ages, providing them with high quality, patient-specific care to achieve their goals. Lauren is a board-certified specialist in orthopedic physical therapy(OCS) with the American Physical Therapy Association.
Lauren is an avid University of Kentucky basketball fan and enjoys spending time with her husband, working on home improvement projects, and continuing to pursue her recreational running career.
Lauren Diamond
DPT (Licensed Physical Therapist, Doctorate in Physical Therapy),
Lauren is a physical therapist specializing in the treatment of sport orthopedics and musculoskeletal injuries as well as vestibular dysfunction. Lauren is a native of Louisiana and graduated from Louisiana State University with a Bachelors in Kinesiology and a minor in Business. She then relocated to North Carolina where she obtained a Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She practiced for four years in Charlotte, NC before relocating to Louisville, KY with her husband.
Lauren's focus of treatment is a hands-on approach with attention to the whole body to restore optimal function. Lauren is a strong believer of patient education coupled with an emphasis on general wellness and a healthy lifestyle with for her patients. Her passion for communication, biomechanics, and manual therapy are evident in each session as she re-evaluates the patient's response on a daily basis. In her spare time, Lauren enjoys cooking, traveling, and trying local workout classes. Overall, she enjoys an active lifestyle while spending time with family and friends!
Lauren Adwell

Lauren received her undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from Eastern Kentucky University and continued her educational pursuits with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Bellarmine University. Lauren is a board-certified specialist in orthopedic physical therapy(OCS) with the American Physical Therapy Association. Following her graduation at Bellarmine, she developed specialized skills in orthopedic and sport physical therapy through her work in an outpatient clinic setting. Lauren enjoys using her knowledge to help people of all ages maintain an active lifestyle and have a safe return to their physical activity of choice.
She has continued her education in the areas of advanced sport medicine, manual soft tissue work, and orthopedics through a variety of technical courses. She has extensive experience and a valued reputation in the evaluation of runners and triathletes at all levels, including marathoner and ultramarathon runners. In her free time, Lauren enjoys being outdoors with her husband and spending time doing a variety of activities with her church community.
Andrew Fortenberry

Andy earned his Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Louisiana Tech University before completing his Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Baylor University in 2009. He is a Board-Certified Specialist in Orthopedic Physical Therapy (OCS) through the American Physical Therapy Association and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy (FAAOMPT), realizing the highest level of skills certification achieveable in physical therapy orthopedics. Andy is passionate about helping patients return to the activities they love. He is also a broadly skilled therapist in treating all body parts and and is a certified manual spine therapist from McKenzie (CertMDT).
Andy recently retired from active-duty service in the U.S. Army after more than 22 years. Outside the clinic, Andy enjoys spending time outdoors with his family, especially hiking and cycling.
